| Sensory
and Product Guidance Technologist £competitive + benefits High Wycombe Closing
Date for Applications: Friday 5th September At
Premier Foods, the UK's No. 1 food manufacturing company, it's fair to say we're
passionate about great tasting food. And, to keep our market-leading brands on
the tips of the tongues of today's consumers, we need to make sure their mouth-watering
flavours, textures and aromas move with the times. Join our team as a Sensory
and Product Guidance Technologist and you'll use your expertise to run consumer
insight panels that will shape the future of great British favourites like Hovis,
Mr Kipling and Bisto. Working as part of a committed team in a fast-paced FMCG
environment, it's got all the ingredients for a great career. Through
leading projects and guiding a small team of technicians, you'll use your in-depth
understanding of the fundamentals of sensory science to conduct effective discrimination
tests, descriptive tests and panel performance analysis. You'll then work with
your team to collate and analyse the results to help shape the development of
both new and existing products. To take on this influential
role you'll need a degree in Sensory Science, Food Science, Psychology, Sociology
or similar, coupled with a good knowledge of statistics related to data handling.
You'll also have proven experience of recruiting, training and leading sensory
panels, ideally backed by knowledge of sensory data collection and statistical
analysis systems (such as FIZZ and XLSTAT). Additionally, previous experience
with internal and external acceptance testing would be beneficial. If
you've got a passion for making great food even better then grab yourself a taste
of the big time with the UK's No.1 food manufacturer.
