Kraft Foods Global, Inc.
is currently seeking a Senior Sensory Scientist located in East Hanover to work
with its Snacks business unit.
As a Senior Sensory Scientist, you will
provide technical guidance and leadership to technical cross-functional teams
by designing, executing, analyzing and reporting sensory guidance research studies.
You will work on a range of product categories, including Cookies, Crackers, Salted
Snacks, & Nuts, , & a wide range of projects, including new product development,
quality improvements, productivity, and new technology platforms. Your role is
to build a fundamental understanding of the impact of product and packaging components
on product perception. The Sensory Scientist partners with Consumer Guidance &
Statistics, and interfaces with R&D, Packaging, Analytical Chemistry, Flavor
Chemistry, Marketing and Market Research. - Design and
execute sensory research strategies that deliver optimal products by translating
consumer wants and needs into actionable technical recommendations.
- Collaborate
with other internal and external scientists to integrate analytical, sensory and
consumer data sets to provide solid, data-based recommendations.
- Develop
and/or adapt sensory testing methods to test novel technologies and product systems.
- Design
& present sensory trainings for technical and non-technical audiences.
Qualified
candidates should possess the following: - Master's
Degree in Food Science, Sensory Science, or equivalent and 4 years of sensory
experience, or Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Sensory Science, or related
field and 7 years sensory or sensory/product development experience.
- Strong
working knowledge of statistical analysis & experimental designs.
- Skilled
in the use of sensory and statistical data capture and analysis packages (e.g.
FIZZ, Minitab, SAS) & standard office software (e.g. Word, Excel, Powerpoint)
- Knowledge
of food systems and processes
- Ability to handle multiple
projects concurrently
- Excellent written and oral communication
skills
