Our client is a world class organisation with a portfolio of household name brands, market leadership and an outstanding reputation for product innovation.  These roles are vital to the delivery of R&D projects by developing and translating data from behavioural science experimentation into consumer relevant insights to guide the generation of trend leading products and brand relevant communications.  They are, in consequence, at the heart of business strategy.

Working in a cross functional environment, you will lead programmes of research drawing on various inputs, including external partners in academia and research as well as internal colleagues.  There will be a key interface with R&D/ brand development and you will build relationships with other consumer insight functions across a range of product categories as well as guiding the direction of relevant behavioural science approaches to the benefit of specific projects. An ability to network effectively is essential. 

You will be educated to PhD level in an area of behavioural/ biological/ physical sciences or possess significant experience in a relevant discipline gained in a commercial environment.  Qualifying backgrounds could be sensory evaluation, market research, marketing, research agency or possibly PR.  A team player, you will possess excellent communication and influencing skills and the drive to get things done.  You will also have experience of leadership, interdisciplinary working and the imagination to turn ideas into reality.
