Our client is looking to recruit a part time Panel Sensory Assessor.

Objective

  • To continuously work as a flexible team member
  • To maintain a highly motivated and efficient panel
  • To carry out preparation for sensory tests according to established protocols
  • To record and save data with accuracy and due diligence

Main Responsibilities

  • Perform accurate and reproducible judgements of malodour on fabrics
  • Accurately record results of malodour assessments on the Palm Handheld
  • Treat panellists according to test protocols, all panellists being dealt with professionally, courteously and according to Sensory Panel code of Conduct -This involves washing the auxiliary area of panellists and, in toilet soap and personal products protocols, application of products to panellists
  • Communicate regularly with all panellists ensuring they understand the protocol, the restrictions and attendance expected of them each week. Ensure that the panellists have sufficient supply of clean shirts and personal hygiene materials
  • Participate in routine preparative work associated with the various protocols; in the fabrics area this involves the use of the washer’s driers and the preparations of the fabric test pieces, and the use of balance on other areas
  • Record all details of any adverse response by the panellist to a test product and refer these, along with any panellist complaint to the line manager
  • Give feedback to line manager of any unusual or abnormal events relating to test products, odour assessments etc. This is to be carried out on a daily for safety reasons
  • Maintain a high standard of housekeeping and safety at all times

Knowledge, Experience and Skills

  • Maintain a standard of personal discipline appropriate to clinical testing
  • Motivated and committed
  • Ability to work as a team and to take responsibility for working individually to achieve the end product
  • Good Housekeeping .

This role is a part time opportunity (20 hours per week), this is a 1 year temporary contract.
